Little does she know that her 16-year-old daughter, Holly, has taken on the role of orchestrating this perfect man to lift her mother's spirits.
Holly's motivation stems from her desire to prevent her mom from getting involved with yet another disastrous relationship, which has forced them to relocate time and again. Determined to find stability for her family, Holly invents a fictional persona named Ben, complete with photographs and intriguing stories, all designed to win her mother's heart.
As Jean is swept off her feet by Ben's sweet gestures and thoughtful messages, Holly must continue to maintain the facade and keep up with the escalating charade. However, as Jean becomes increasingly infatuated with this perfect man, Holly begins to question the real value of her fabricated romance.
The Perfect Man is a poignant tale about the complexities of love, family, and finding oneself.
